Which carpet pieces can be assessed?
Enquiries can include removable cabin mats, caravan runners and shaped carpet pieces around steps or hatches. Suitability depends on the carpet, backing, edge shape and intended conditions.
Edging does not make ordinary household carpet marine-grade, waterproof or non-slip. Tell us whether the piece will be used in a damp or exposed space.
What should I send for a boat or caravan quote?
- A wide photo of the space and a photo of the carpet piece.
- Length and width, with a labelled sketch for curves or cut-outs.
- Close-ups of the backing, existing edging and any worn areas.
- Whether the carpet is removable or fixed, plus your suburb.
Keep existing pieces if they may help show the shape. Check template and cutting requirements before altering them.
Confirm the scope before starting
Loose-mat edging is different from removing glued carpet, fitting carpet on site or securing it in a vehicle. Do not assume those services, travel or installation are included: describe the job and confirm what can be undertaken first.
